In September 2006 Karla died suddenly and unexpectadly aged just 38. She leaves behind two young children Rachael aged 8 and Richard aged 15. Karla's sister Angela together with the rest of the family, kindly asked for donations for Wizz Catz Rescue, rather than flowers. The Trustees have therefore decided that we would set up the Karla Purcell Memorial Fund. This fund will be used for cats that need that little extra help.

When we originally set up this account we were fundaising for a special little cat called Chloe. However, Princess Chloe is now a permanent resident with us as she has an untreatable liver condition.

We have since offered this fund to our local vet that should they get a cat in that is involved in a road traffic accident and there is no one to fund his/her treatment then we will take care of them. We will let you know what happens next!
